A public hearing will be held in the Main Floor Conference Room, Anderson Building, 445 East Capitol Ave, Pierre, South Dakota, on May 13th, 2013 at 9 a.m., to consider the adoption and amendment of proposed rules to the following. See the Rules Text as originally posted or the Final Rules effective June 9, 2013 (both in Adobe .pdf format*).
Chapters 20:06:01, 20:06:08, 20:06:12, 20:06:13, 20:06:16, 20:06:22
The effect of the rule is to update the general authority for certain rules in the chapter.
The reason for adopting this rule is ensure that the rules have the appropriate general authority.
Chapter 20:06:05
The effect of the rule is to repeal this chapter.
The reason for this rule change is to repeal unnecessary rules.
Chapter 20:06:18
The effect of the rules is to update the website listed in the chapter.
The reason for adopting this rule is to ensure the correct website is listed.
Chapter 20:06:12, 20:06:19, 20:06:25, 20:06:26, 20:06:36
The effect of this rule change is to update the sources referenced in rule.
The reason for adopting this rule is to ensure all parties are referring to the updated references.
Chapter 20:06:40
The effect of the rules is to change the name of a reference.
The reason for adopting this rule is to have appropriate name of entity referenced.
After the hearing, the Division of Insurance will consider all written and oral comments it receives on the proposed rules. The Division may modify or amend a proposed rule at that time to include or exclude matters that are described in this notice.
Notice is further given to individuals with disabilities that this hearing is being held in a physically accessible place. Please notify the Division of Insurance at least 48 hours before the public hearing if you have special needs for which special arrangements must be made. The reason for adopting this rule is to remove unnecessary rating provisions and to meet minimum federal requirements.
