Title - Labor Market Information Center

Affirmative Action

Please note: The 2010 Census did not collect the information on employment status which is used for Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) purposes. This information is now gathered through the American Community Survey (ACS), an annual survey which is also conducted by the U.S. Census Bureau. That ACS data is expected to be available from the American FactFinder application in December 2012. (More information regarding the planned ACS reports can be found on the Census Bureau website.) Therefore, the 2000 Census EEO data as provided below should be used for Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity program purposes until the ACS data is made available later this year.
