Grants/RFPs

The South Dakota Department of Labor and Regulation funds local programs, with both state and federal monies, to provide adult education services and activities. Under Title II of the Workforce Investment Act of 1998, the Adult Education and Literacy Program administers the grant application/competition process that solicits proposals to provide instruction in one or more of the following categories:

• Adult education and literacy services, including workplace literacy services
• Family literacy services
• English literacy programs (Public Law 105-220; §231)
