Workforce Investment Act (WIA)

The Workforce Investment Act (WIA) is an employment and training program designed to provide services that will increase skills for adults and youth, which will result in employment and an increase in earnings. WIA offers education and job training programs that can help in overcoming barriers to employment.

Changes are proposed to the State Integrated Workforce Plan; changes affect the section concerning Service to Veterans, found on pages 64-73 of the plan. Workforce Development Council
